Title:AP Specialist
Report:AP Manager
Purpose:This position will complete base tasks in an effort to support branch activity within the Accounts Payable department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Resolving internal and external customer inquiries/request for information
- Managing vendor and intercompany branch communications
- Entering and verifying AP invoices
- Performing data entry to post AP invoices
- Posting and reconciling branch checkbooks
- Assisting with various projects related to process improvement and annual year-end activities
- Working with the team as needed to meet deadlines and accomplish accounting goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP preferred
- Business Administration or Accounting career track preferred
- Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work through interruptions and re-prioritize as needed based on company and department needs
- A customer service mindset is a must.
- 2-3 years of AP experience preferred
- Solid organizational, mathematical, and analytical abilities
- Must be able to learn a variety of business applications
- Intermediate spreadsheet skills preferred
- Personal attributes must include a positive attitude, hands-on approach, and the highest level of energy, enthusiasm, and ethics
