Ruppert is made up of two business units:
- Commercial Landscape Management: Provides landscape maintenance services including core landscape maintenance, design & enhancements, irrigation & water management and snow & ice management to property owners and managers.
- Commercial Landscape Construction: Provides landscape installation, hardscape installation, irrigation & water management and site structures.
We are a rapidly expanding, private equity backed industry leader, and have an immediate opening for a Benefit Administrator within our Corporate Accounting Department.
TITLE: Bi-Lingual Benefits Administrator
REPORTS TO: Director of Payroll and Benefits
SUPERVISES: N/A
The Role
Ruppert Landscape is looking for a Benefit Administrator to process and plan the day-to-day operations of the group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, accident/hospital plans, HSA plan and retirement plans, etc.). This position provides excellent customer service to our employees and insights to company leadership. Working with the payroll team, brokers and carriers, the administrator will create and contribute to the design, implementation, enrollment and communication materials for employee benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day questions and requests for assistance associated with employee benefits (401k, ADP, Alight, UHC, MetLife)
- Develop strong relationships with vendors and serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators
- Coordinate daily benefits processing, COBRA, termination changes, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distribution loans, hardships, audits, and compliance testing
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefits, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records
- Work with broker to research employee benefit plans and vendors that present the best value
- Work with broker to design, recommend, and implement new benefits programs and examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations including timely and accurate distribution of required reporting and fees
- Manage the content and usability of the Benefit Administration Portal used by all employees for enrollment and claims management access
- Design and distribute materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to group benefit associates, home office associates and field staff
- Develop and present monthly enrollment information sessions; including Q&A sessions for new and returning employees
- Aggregate and review benefit statistics to provide trends and insights to management on employee enrollment and benefit engagement. Provide opinions and suggestions based on the data findings
- Ensure the accurate transfer of employee, enrollment, and eligibility information amongst all related internal and third-party systems
- Monitor, maintain and report on the trends and compliance of the company 401(k) plan
- Work with third party auditor to complete annual 401(k) audit
- Work with broker and internal teams to ensure all aspect of the health and 401(k) plans are adhering to all compliance requirements
