Position Description
Title: AP Specialist
Report: AP Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Entering and verifying AP invoices
- Providing internal and external customer service via email, phone, or in person communication
- Posting and researching of AP invoices
- Processing AP payments
- Performing bank statement reconciliation
- Posting and reconciling branch checkbooks
- Reviewing vendor statements
- Completing assignments on various projects related to process improvement and annual year-end activities
- Collaborating with the team to meet weekly, month end, and year end deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems
- Business Administration or Accounting career track
- Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in reports and data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work through interruptions and re-prioritize as needed based on company and department needs
- A customer service mindset is a must
- 2-3 years of AP experience preferred
- Must have solid organizational, mathematical, and analytical abilities
- Skill level of intermediate or higher with spreadsheet utilization
- Personal attributes must include a positive attitude, hands-on approach, enthusiasm, and ethics
